The CIA's Directorate of Plans was an arm of the CIA.


The Directorate of Plans was formed in 1 August 1952 from a merger of Strategic Services Unit and the Office of Policy Coordination.

On 1 March 1973 the Directorate of Plans was replaced by the Directorate of Operations.[2]
