The Second Amendment to the United States Constitution protects the right to keep and bear arms.[1]

Operation Choke Point

During the Obama administration, Operation Choke Point was a coordinated effort between the Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) to shut down politically controversial businesses by restricting their access to banks.Certain businesses, including payday lenders, coin dealers, and gun shops, were suddenly pushed out of the banking system not for breaking the law, but for being politically disfavored. Official described that the operation was designed to "[choke] them off from the very air they need to survive."[2] In one case, the FDIC’s Atlanta Regional Office met with a bank chairman and suggested he would face criminal prosecution if he did not terminate the bank’s relationship with a payday lender.[3][4]

No new revolution

“I love these guys who say the Second Amendment is—you know, the tree of liberty is water with the blood of patriots. Well, if [you] want to do that, you want to work against the government, you need an F-16. You need something else than just an AR-15.”
Joe Biden (20 June, 2023)  [5]
