Shabana Mahmood (born 17 September 1980) is a British Labour Party politician and barrister serving as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Birmingham, Ladywood since 2010.[1]
Shabana Mahmood has served in the Shadow Cabinet of Keir Starmer as the Labour Party National Campaign Coordinator since May 2021. She was also Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury in 2015.
On 9 May 2021, Shabana Mahmood tweeted:
Delighted to join @keir_starmer’s Shadow Cabinet as @uklabour’s National Campaign Coordinator. To change lives we first need to win power. I’m looking forward to working with colleagues from across our Party and our movement to make sure we do.[2]
