Does it accept the end date? Came here from the summary page of 2009, there only Swine flu/Panic showed up since start/end are set on that article. So I copied it to the main article, however it does render the date differently and now only shows "start" after I saved it, at Swine flu/Panic it says "Date" with start and end listed ..? -- Sunvalley (talk) 15:53, 6 June 2021 (UTC)

:So, just noticed this talk page. This was because the template:concept was used, while it should be template:events. As it isn't a concept like Advertising or social conditioning or SwineFlu/Panic, it happened as an event. Don't sweat it, we have several thousands we need to re-org like that. --Jun (talk) 09:45, 24 June 2021 (UTC)

::That system of templates hasn't been touched for years, so we might have enough experience with edge cases by now to give it an overhaul; some templates work better than others. template:concept is the catch all for any pages which don't fit anywhere else, so that should contain most of the edge cases. I suggest if we want to try a mass retemplating, we begin by listing the edge/test cases and discuss them. -- Robin (talk) 20:19, 24 June 2021 (UTC)

:::Of course we should discuss how or if to re-order those ~1800 when the time comes. We'll probably be able to begin sorting them little by little after we finish the "stub and dsc" project. The templates could use some new ones, I for one am of the opinion that younger audiences are drawn to templates like; Template:Politics sidebar on Wikipedia although the slightly more "conditioning" version of wiki's like rationalwiki is also effective in reducing page bouncers. In creating the Genetics Of Mortality In Critical Care article, I had very few references (certainly no independent ones) to support the narrative. The H1N1 article, on the other hand, is replete with good references. Feel free to cull it though.--Patrick Haseldine (talk) 12:00, 16 May 2020 (UTC)

So, just noticed this talk page.
That system of templates hasn't been touched for years, so we might have enough experience with edge cases by now to give it an overhaul; some templates work better than others. template:concept is the catch all for any pages which don't fit anywhere else, so that should contain most of the edge cases. I suggest if we want to try a mass retemplating, we begin by listing the edge/test cases and discuss them. -- Robin (talk) 20:19, 24 June 2021 (UTC)
Of course we should discuss how or if to re-order those ~1800 when the time comes. Food for later perhaps. --Jun (talk) 05:58, 26 June 2021 (UTC)
