Stephen Barclay is a British Conservative politician who was Health Secretary from July to September 2022, when he was dismissed by Liz Truss.
He served as Minister for the Cabinet Office and Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster from September 2021 to February 2022.
He has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for North East Cambridgeshire since the 2010 United Kingdom General Election.[1]
Stephen Barclay served as Lord Commissioner of the Treasury from 2016 to 2017 and Economic Secretary to the Treasury from 2017 until 2018. After the January 2018 cabinet reshuffle, he became Minister of State at the Department of Health and Social Care; Barclay was appointed Brexit Secretary in November that year following the resignation of Dominic Raab. He served in the role until Brexit in January 2020.
