The Counter Disinformation and Media Development Programme is a UK government project.
Exposure
This Programme was first mentioned in public in a written answer to a parliamentary question in December 2018 the UK FCO that stated:
In April 2016 we launched a new four year strategic communications and media development programme authorised by the National Security Council, called the Counter Disinformation and Media Development Programme.
Cover up
When Sputnik News asked for more details about the program, Alan Duncan replied to them that "Documents and correspondence about projects within the Programme will not be published, as this information could then be used to actively attempt to disrupt and undermine the Programme's effectiveness."[1]
